What is Your Kick?

Or is it "punch"?

Hey friends,

I’ve been thinking about (street) fighting recently… like, punches and kicks and shit.

But, more along the lines of what our superpowers are as founders / ceos… and how leaning into the ones that we’ve been both designed for AND intentionally chosen.

I shared this earlier in the week and I wanted to have a chat with a few of you this weekend about it (hit me up, you know how)!

Tootles. Love you all.

To infinity & community,

This is essentially the only so-called “strategy” that I really have (via David Perell):

The internet rewards consistency. B+ content with A+ consistency is often a winning formula.

I publish content consistently. That’s kinda it. This is why raw intelligence really doesn’t mean much over the long-run if they can’t put it to consistent use.

Reminds me of Bruce Lee:

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

The question before each of each and every one of us is this: What is my kick? What discrete skill will I intentionally decide to work on for a very long time?

For me, I’ve decided that writing is one of those kicks. What about you?
